The Weeping Water Board of Education passed to items at the August BOE meeting related to COVID-19. First, the modified the "Return to Learn protocols" based on new information and updates from various agencies. The new protocols can be accessed at: http://wwps.pub/COVID-Protocols Second, the BOE approved an alternate calendar that includes makeup days should WWPS need to close school due to the virus. These days were originally No Student/No Staff vacation days. Should the school need to use these makeup days, parents will be notified well in advance that school will be in session. 1/2- Tuesday, the WW softball team will be playing in Lincoln as part of a 3 team jamboree scrimmage. Lincoln Public Schools is limiting the number of spectators who can attend the games. Each player is limited to 4 spectators (immediate family and/or grandparents only).

Information regarding protocols for the Softball Jamboree game on Aug.18. To help reduce the spread of Covid-19 we ask that all students and families attending events adhere to the following practices and recommendations: Self-screen before attending. If you feel ill, please do not attend. Wash hands frequently and properly social distance (at least 6ft). Family groups may sit together in less than the required physical distance, but six feet of distance should exist between groups. Face coverings will be required to attend any LPS event--both indoors and outside. Due to current Covid-19 conditions in the Lincoln area, attendance at LPS-hosted athletic events will be limited. Attendance allowances are dictated by the capacity of the competition/performance venue. So, each one of our varsity girls will only be allowed 4 spectators (immediate family and/or grandparents). We must provide a list to the home school so please have your player let Coach Hammer know your 4 attendees as soon as possible. August 18th at Doris Bair - Field #3. (5:00pm) Weeping Water vs Fillmore Central (4 innings) (TF) East vs Fillmore Central (4 innings) (TF) East vs Weeping Water (4 innings) Admission is $5 Adult, $4 per student.

Friday mornings are all about Friendship @WWPS! To maintain morning routines, bus routes will remain the same and all students can arrive at their normal time. Walking Club, Big Pals, Grab n' Go breakfast & the media center are all available until 8:25. Classes begin @8:30.
